PUBLIC ART WALKING TOUR MAP

Santa Cruz is host to a walkable art gallery, in the main shopping and dining area of downtown. Situated in a California beach-side tourist town, it’s hard to walk half a block without seeing a sculpture, mural or architectural installation.
What We Did
The City decided to create a printed map that showcases the curated art downtown, so a visitor can not only easily take a tour of the downtown art, but learn about the artist and what mediums they work with.
We created an artistic version of a walking map, through a textural design, a simple navigation system, and photos and descriptions of each artist. We have since updated the map a couple of times to reflect changes in the art installations.
